Solstice Ceremony for Ancestral Cleansing, Healing and Reciprocity

Join Solstice Unites Networks (SUN) as we gather at Corlear’s Hook Park for a profound act of remembrance, healing, and renewal.

Four centuries ago, the lands and waters of Lower Manhattan witnessed a tragic rupture — a moment when coexistence gave way to colonization, violence, and disconnection.

Kieft’s War and the massacres at Pavonia and Corlear’s Hook wounded not only the Lenape people but the spirit of the land itself.

Today, the land calls us back — to remember, to heal, and to act.

At this Solstice, two historic currents converge:

1. The Solstice Ceremony for Ancestral Cleansing, Healing, and Reciprocity invites you to participate in a living act of restoration:

  • Ancestral Cleansing of the inherited wounds of history

  • Healing relationships between peoples and the Earth

  • Embodying Reciprocity by blessing and launching the Earth Bank Fund — a regenerative trust transforming commerce into care and transactions into acts of restoration.

2. The Launch of Solstice Unites — a 10-year global movement led by Indigenous nations to reweave the sacred web of life. Twice each year, at the Solstices, people across the world will gather in unity and ceremony, honoring Mother Earth and walking a path of respect, reciprocity, and renewal.
